The basis of control

The purpose of the inspection is to check whether the passengers in the vehicle have valid tickets and documents entitling them to free and discounted travel.

The basis for ticket inspection is the conclusion of a transport contract when the passenger boards the bus

What should a passenger do?

The passenger should have a valid ticket entitling him to travel by MZK bus (an e-card without a registered journey or a receipt alone does not entitle him to travel)

A passenger who does not have a valid ticket or document entitling him to free travel is obliged to validate/activate the ticket first after entering the vehicle.

During the inspection, the passenger is obliged to provide the controller with an e-card or a paper ticket purchased from the bus driver in order to enable reading its contents.

Who carries out e-Card checks?

The inspection is carried out only by designated MZK employees and employees of specialized companies commissioned by MZK

The controller has an ID card in a visible place authorizing the inspection and a controller reader used to check the validity of the ticket encoded on the e-card.

The controller starts checking tickets after announcing the inspection

e-Card control?

Failure to comply with the rules for using tickets specified in the tariff is treated as driving without a valid ticket and is subject to an additional fee.

When checking the e-card, a notification about the registered trip, passenger data and information about the e-ticket held are displayed on the screen of the controller reader.

The result of the control is signaled by sound: a single sound signal means that the trip has been correctly registered, while a double sound indicates that the current trip has not been recorded on the e-card

A passenger who does not have a valid ticket during the journey and receives a summons may, within 7 days from the date of registration, contact the Customer Service Office at the MZK headquarters or contact BOK electronically via SDK to cancel the fare.
